I'm speaking at UX Cambridge 2018

I’m absolutely delighted to be speaking at this year’s UX Cambridge. After attending the first event in 2011, UX Cambridge has been one of my favourite UX design conferences over the years. This now having the added bonus as I am now a resident of Cambridge since 2015 and I can now walk to the venue. In fact, I could now walk to the event in 15 minutes I am that close.

My talk ‘Pixels and Prisons’ is based on my experiences designing services during my time working at the Ministry of Justice. It is a talk I have done a few times now, but will look to adapt this slightly for the heavily UX focused audience. The main theme of the talk is not to get too hung up on job titles, Service Design has many similarities with UX Design. If you are using a solid, user-centred approach to your design work then moving from products and services should be natural. They all begin with a human need.

More details on the talk can be found on UX Cambridge’s website
